What you’ll study

The Master of Teaching (Secondary) is a postgraduate coursework degree that will provide you with the confidence, knowledge and skills required in the teaching profession.

You will complete core units in education and curriculum in addition to professional units of study. You will have the option to specialise in either one or two teaching areas at secondary education level, including:

  • English
  • Mathematics
  • Science 
  • HSIE (Aboriginal studies, business studies, economics, geography, modern history, ancient history, legal studies, society and culture)
  • Creative Arts (drama and music)
  • Personal Development, Health and Physical Education (PDHPE)
  • Languages (Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Modern Hebrew, Classical Hebrew, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Latin, Modern Greek, Spanish)

You will also complete practicum placements and a final capstone project comprising an internship in a secondary education setting.
