What you’ll study

The Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Advanced Studies (Politics and International Relations) is a degree that allows you to hone your analytical skills, think independently, and form and articulate judgements based on argument and evidence.

You will complete a program in Politics and International Relations, covering aspects of political, cultural and economic relations at both the domestic and international levels.

Additionally, you will add breadth to your degree by completing a second major from either the disciplinary pool or the shared pool and taking units from the Open Learning Environment. You will complete elective units as needed to make up the requirements of the course.

In the final year of your degree, you will undertake advanced coursework where you will enhance your leadership, critical thinking and problem-solving skills and increase your employment prospects. You will undertake challenging coursework and a substantial real-world project individually or in collaboration with other students.

If you would like to study honours and meet the relevant admissions requirements, you will be able to apply for an appended honours degree after completing three years of undergraduate study.
