Bachelor of Music (Performance)
Become a professional performer with guidance from industry experts
What you’ll study
The Bachelor of Music (Performance) is an undergraduate specialist degree that will equip you with the skills to become a professional musical performer.
One-to-one tuition is offered in your chosen instrument or performance area, complimented with orchestral, chamber and ensemble practice. You will complete core studies in music theory and aural skills, music analysis, history and culture studies, whilst preparing to present end-of-semester performances, including the final recital at the end of the course.
As a performance student of The Con, you will also undertake professional industry work with the Conservatorium’s industry partners – a key feature of the four year (full-time) degree.
Additionally, you will complete elective units from the Open Learning Environment or the shared pool as needed to fulfill the requirements of the course.
Principal Study is offered in Classical and Historical Performance, Jazz, Music Theatre, Drum Set and Chinese instrumental performance.
