Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood)
What you’ll study
The Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) is an undergraduate degree that provides you with a professional qualification to teach children from birth to five years in early childhood education settings.
You will complete core specialist units in early childhood education, curriculum and child development, complemented by generalist units in education and professional studies, including professional communication, working with families, and leadership and management.
The core units also include practical experience units and an internship. You will also complete a major in education that will equip you to teach young children from psychological, sociological, and inclusive perspectives, and includes a final year capstone unit.
Professional practice
Students undertake 90 days of placement in a range of early childhood services across four professional experience units.

Secondary or tertiary qualification
A secondary education qualification such as the NSW Higher School Certificate (including national and international equivalents), OR approved higher education study, including approved preparation courses.
