Overview

Non-award or non-degree study at a postgraduate level allows you to build on your knowledge and skills as a graduate. Admission as a non-award student is assessed on an individual basis.

Non-degree students pay full tuition fees to undertake a unit of study (subject) offered in the Faculty of Science without being enrolled in an award course (degree).

If you would like to apply for non-degree study, you should consult the Faculty of Science Handbook to identify units of study in which you would like to enrol at the University of Sydney.

You should only enrol in postgraduate non-degree study if the subjects you wish to study are at postgraduate level.

Please note that postgraduate non-degree study is advisable only after consultation with the unit coordinator.
