Financial Economics is focused on the economic models used in finance, and the econometric skills needed to apply these models to financial markets and other economic data. Through this major you will gain high-level training to understand both how financial markets work and how to analyse financial data.
This is an area of high employer demand which spans a range of diverse fields. As a graduate you will have excellent employment prospects in the financial sector or in a financial regulatory agency like the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA).
