Control of risk is a fundamental aspect of project management. This major complements the coverage of risk as a core competency in the project management program by provide opportunities to develop skills that enhance understanding of systemic risk through system dynamics modeling, and its management through integrated cost scheduling and control, computer applications and contracts. Disaster project management provides insight into the management of risk in a particular project context.

Graduate opportunities

The major is ideally suited to those students who aspire to careers in major projects, especially those in construction and engineering, defence or aerospace, or in disaster management where contracts have a significant role and there is a strong need for detailed risk management, planning and control.
