Speech Pathology Practice (Introduction) - CSCD5019

This unit provides an introduction to speech pathology clinical practice. Students will be introduced to the range of practice areas for speech pathology and clinical practice through lectures and simulated clinical practice activities in tutorials. Students will also learn about the ethical and medical legal requirements necessary to be a speech pathologist

1x1-hr lecture/week, (weeks 1-13), 1x1hr tutorial/week, (weeks 2-10)

Language sampling and analysis and reflection (40%), Simulated parent interview, assessment report and session plan (60%)
