Implant Clinical Procedures 1 - DENT5023

Year - 2018

This unit aims to provide students at the postgraduate level details of clinical decision-making and evidence-based information on implant clinical procedures. Students should be able to surgically perform implant placement safely with adequate knowledge of the surgical anatomy and with the guidance of the anticipated restoration. The concept of overdentures will be further explored with clinical procedures outlined. Students should be able to perform surgical placement with good soft tissue techniques and do site preparation techniques when necessary.

1x 5day block (8am - 5pm)

Clinical presentations (summative) (80%), Mentor feedback reports (20%)

Recommended resources including texts and publications will be provided in class.
