This unit provides students with opportunities to explorecomplex clinical problems for which neurological, cardiopulmonary and/ or musculoskeletal Physiotherapy is indicated. Content will cover at an advanced level issues such as selection of intervention, referral to other professionals and determination of short, medium, and long term management strategies. Using a case-based approach, students will study injuries and diseases of the wrist and hand, respiratory/ cardiac disorders, and complex regional pain syndrome. Management will address issues relating to rehabilitation in community settings, and patients with multisystem disorders, while addressing psychosocial issues that can significantly affect management
