Public Financial Management - ANZG6004

Public financial management practices permeate the information and systems that govern the everyday decision-making of public managers. This unit covers key conceptual and practical matters relating to financial and non-financial performance in the public sector. Through a variety of teaching approaches and assignment activities, you will acquire skills to critically appraise the key institutions and practices that manage and account for public resources and public policies.

taught over 4 days through a series of inter-linked seminars and workshops - 38 contact hours in total.

Assessment
expenditure analysis presentation (20% equivalent to 1000 wd), budgeting systems policy brief (30%, 2000 wd), research report (50%, 3500 wd)
