Foundation: Restorative Dentistry - DENT6382

Year - 2020

This unit provides an overview at the postgraduate students in clinical procedural and evidence-based information on advanced restorative dentistry. Seminars are provided on treatment planning and vertical dimension considerations to help clinical decision making for treatment planning with fixed and removable prosthodontics including implant-supported prostheses. Special attention is given to developing understanding and skills in recording jaw relationships and accurate transfer to articulator systems appropriate for complex prosthodontic treatment.

2x10day blocks (8am-5pm), clinical and laboratory sessions, small group semminars, journal club discussions, self-directed learning

Theory Paper (40%); Case Presentation (15%); Viva Voce (15%); Simulation Tasks ¿ Fixed Prosthodontics (15%); Continuous Sessional Assessment (10%); Logbook (5%)
