Life Sciences IV - ORHL2204

In Semester 2, the subject will continue to discuss the concepts of anatomy and physiology, body systems, head and neck anatomy, tissue biology in health and disease and pathophysiology in disease. Principles and applications of psychology and the links between mind and body as well as the role of learning, communication, and motivational behaviour change will be covered. Students will be introduced to important diseases of the main body systems and acquire an understanding of the normal function of the gastrointestinal and reproductive systems. In Behavioural Sciences, the student will further develop their knowledge of communication and management of patients with fears and phobias.
