M15 - Creating and using educatioal media

The aim of this module is to provide some evidence-based approaches to using teacher-generated and student-generated media to enhance learning. Focusing primarily on video, we will discuss key considerations when designing and making effective educational videos, and then plan to transform a concept into a video. We will also examine student-generated videos for assessment and other learning, considering some key implications such as assessment, risk, and support. Finally, we will get hands-on with some media equipment and experiment with different techniques that you and your students could use.
