By focusing on strategic international issues, participants have the chance to examine how they will make a difference to Australia, the participants' home countries, and the world.
Collaborating with University faculties and schools, the Australian government and overseas governments, the International Leaders Program (ILP) is divided into the three streams below.
Each of our International Leaders Programs are different, depending on the number of participants, length of the course, and specific skill requirements of the program.
The lead time required to prepare the program will vary. We suggest you contact us at least three months before your program starts.
Currently all our programs are tailor-made for groups from the same institution. In exceptional cases, individuals may be considered for the student programs – please email the International Programs Manager to enquire.
Our Young Leaders Programs are generally two to three weeks long and require a minimum of 20 participants. Our Professional Programs may last from one week to several months, depending on your leadership management training requirements. To have a program customised to your needs, please contact our International Programs Manager.
We can design our Young Leaders programs for varying levels of English language ability. Groups with limited English skills can also combine English language lessons within the program. For our professional programs, interpreting services can be provided.
If required, we are able to arrange airport transfers, accommodation (hotel, serviced apartment, guest house or homestay) and cultural activities.
Upon successful completion of the program, participants will be issued with a personalised Certificate of Study from the International Leaders Program of the University of Sydney. Students who wish to obtain academic credit are responsible for making their own arrangements in advance with their home university.
