Thesis title: Strength and Behaviour of Cold-rolled Aluminium Sections

Thesis abstract:

This thesis presents a comprehensive study on the strength and behaviour of cold-rolled aluminium sections in compression and bending. The research focused on mechanical properties of and residual stresses in of cold-rolled aluminium channel section as well as the section capacity of cold-rolled aluminium columns and beams. Both experimental and numerical investigations were performed and reported. Design rules for cold-rolled aluminium columns and beams were also proposed.
