Thesis title: Nanocarbon-based hybrid materials as bifunctional electrocatalyst for Zinc-air battery

Thesis abstract:

Sustainable oxygen evolution (OER) and oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) electrocatalysts are desirable for zinc air battery system. Developing sustainable, low cost, and efficienct OER & ORR bifunctional electrocatalysts has become an important research topic in recent years.In my project, the carbon based material, such as CNTs, graphene, carbon cloth, and some other low-dimensional nanostructured carbon materials were be employed as substrate, and some noble metal free material including transition metal oxide, hydroxide, and metal boride and so on, were integrated to prepare hybrid composite with high acitivty in OER&ORR, and used them as oxygen electrode for the Zinc air battery.
