Propel

Your passport to a career in STEM

Are you a high school student interested in engineering, computing, maths or science? Join an outreach activity to learn more about studying at the University of Sydney. You may receive a $2000 study abroad scholarship!

Meet our Baxter robot.

Our new Propel initiative allows you to get hands-on and learn about programming, robotics, project management, technology and engineering, all while having lots of fun.

Propel provides you with the perfect opportunity to find out what areas of study excite you, before you finish high school and have to decide on a university course. By joining Propel, you’ll also be eligible to receive unique benefits in your first year of university study with us.

There are more than 20 activities each year for students in Years 9–12.

By participating in just four of these activities while you’re still in high school you will be eligible for a $2000 scholarship to study abroad once you begin your engineering, computing or project management degree at the University. There is no need to apply; we track your participation and provide you with updates on your progress.
