The course resolutions detailed in this page apply to all courses included in the table below under section 1 (course codes).
These resolutions must be read in conjunction with applicable University By-laws, Rules and policies including (but not limited to) the University of Sydney (Coursework) Rule 2014 (the 'Coursework Rule'), the Coursework Policy 2021 (the 'Coursework Policy'), the Learning and Teaching Policy 2019, the Resolutions of the Faculty, University of Sydney (Student Academic Appeals) Rule 2021, the Academic Integrity Policy 2022 and the Academic Integrity Procedures 2022. Candidates must complete the requirements for the honours program full-time over two consecutive semesters. If the relevant delegate is satisfied that a student is unable to attempt Honours on a full-time basis, permission may be granted for the student to undertake Honours part-time over a maximum of four consecutive semesters, not including periods of suspension.
(1) Admission to the honours program is by permission of the relevant delegate on advice from the relevant honours coordinator or Program Director after completion of all of the following requirements:
(a) a Bachelor of Applied Science (Exercise and Sport Science) degree (or equivalent);
(b) a Weighted Average Mark of at least 65.0 in all completed units of study; and
(c) any requirements for honours entry set by the relevant department, school or faculty.
(1) Honours is available to meritorious students who complete an additional year of full-time study, after the completion of the pass degree.
(2) To qualify for the award of the honours program a candidate must complete 48 credit points of honours units of study as listed in the Bachelor of Applied Science (Exercise and Sport Science) (Honours) Table A.
(1) The Honours degree is awarded in classes ranging from First Class to Third Class as specified in the Coursework Policy, and the Resolutions of the Faculty of Medicine and Health. The class of Honours awarded is based on a candidate’s Faculty of Medicine and Health Honours Weighted Average Mark (FMHHWAM)
(1) These resolutions apply to students who commenced their candidature after 1 January 2023 and students who commenced their candidature prior to 1 January, 2023 who elect to proceed under these resolutions.

(c) meet any requirements for honours entry set by the relevant department or school.
(1) The units of study that may be taken are set out in Table A for the Bachelor of Applied Science (Exercise and Sport Science) Honours.
(2) To qualify for award , a candidate must complete 48 credit points of units at 4000-level or above in the honours subject area.
(1) The Bachelor of Applied Science (Exercise and Sport Science) Honours is awarded in classes ranging from First Class to Third Class, as specified in the Coursework Policy, and the Resolutions of the Faculty of Medicine and Health.
(1) These resolutions apply to students who commenced their candidature after 1 July 2024 , and students who commenced their candidature before that date who elect to proceed under these resolutions.
