Chemistry

Honours unit of study table (Table A)

Honours in Chemistry is a one-year component available via an appended Honours. Students undertake a 36-credit point research project that addresses a contemporary chemical problem in one of the following areas: Functional energy materials, self-assembled nanomaterials, molecular innovations in health, computation and theory, or chemistry education and communication. The project is undertaken within an active research group and gives students training and practical experience in the latest techniques and cutting-edge technologies. Students also complete two 6-credit point coursework units that will aid in the development of their fundamental research and communication skills.

Honours in Chemistry are available to students with a major in Chemistry or a cognate area that is relevant to the project. Admittance into the program is determined by the Faculty of Science as well as the Chemistry Honours coordinator.
