International House (IH) will launch a new affiliate membership program in 2020 with the aim of offering students living off-campus or in private accommodation the opportunity to experience the range of programs, events, and meals offered by International House.
Distinctive to International House is the intentionality of its community, established on defined values of international understanding and friendship. Its program incorporates formal associations of current and former residents, who support events and activities that run throughout the year. Complemented by a full catering service and on-site staff actively involved in the planning and delivery of program activities, the International House model boasts a proven track record that spans over 50 years.
In addition to the unique benefits that accompany being part of a community with 200 residents from 40 countries, the affiliate membership program offers students 10 meals per week in the International House dining room, lockers to store personal items while on campus, and access to study and recreational spaces in the Wool Room, Dining Hall and Coffee Room (including access to University Wi-Fi and printing facilities).
This program is ideal for students living at home or those looking to make new friends from across the world. Places are limited to 10 students for the 2020 intake.
Eligibility is limited to current University of Sydney students who are not residing at any other student accommodation facility.
