Why did you choose to study Medicine?

I wanted a degree in healthcare that involved endless learning, reflecting and directly impacting people, their families and their communities.

What does a typical day at uni look like for you?

It depends on the day! Half the week is spent in lectures, and the other can be in anatomy labs with cadavers, at hospital taking histories and performing examinations on patients, or in a tutorial discussing patient cases!

What has surprised you most about your degree?

The honesty and candidness of patients telling you their story. It’s a huge privilege to be able to just talk to people from all walks of life.

What do you like most about studying at Usyd?

The beautiful campuses – I have my favourite spots but there’s always something new to discover.

What advice would you give other students just starting out?

Find what excites you and pursue that relentlessly.
