Antony Masters is a Fellow of the Royal Australian Chemical Institute. His research has produced over 100 papers and patents, over 50 conference presentations and gained over $5 million in research support for work on organometallic chemistry and catalysis, including the preparation, characterisation and catalytic investigations of surface supported materials and clusters and the application of EXAFS to these fields.

Collaborations have involved researchers from the Universities of Sydney, Melbourne, Monash, Murdoch, Southampton, Liverpool, Witwatersrand, from CSIRO, DSIR, New Zealand, The Royal Institution, UK, TU Delft, NL, the Sydney College of the Arts and from industry. Current Directorships include Medsaic Pty Ltd, and ZingoTx Pty Ltd..
