Peter Morgan is Professor and Director of the European Studies program at the University of Sydney. Research areas include German and European literature, Intellectual and Social History, literature and politics (especially literary cultures under dictatorships), Gay men’s literature, Holocaust literature and world literature, Australian-European intellectual history.
Current research and writing interests include literary sociology of gay men’s literature, world literature theory and praxis, Albanian novelist, Ismail Kadare in the communist and post-communist contexts, German literature and national identity and the emergence of male homosexual identity in European modernism.
