Sydney Medical School - Generic
Students are a major stakeholder in any University teaching program however, they are often overlooked when we develop and design curriculum and resources. This project will analyse multiple case studies where students have been involved as collaborators, or co-designers in the medical curriculum. The project will use a critical realism framework analysis of multiple case studies of student collaboration in curriculum development. This will involve interviewing the students and staff involved in these curriculum or resource development initiatives and analysing their responses. The goal is to investigate the utility of including student stakeholders in these program developments and analyse the enablers and barriers in the process. The outcome will inform future endeavours that include student stakeholders in important curriculum decisions.
