Summary

Alex is a Senior Lecturer in Comparative and International Education in the Sydney School of Education and Social work. Alex leads the Masters of Education International Stream, and is the SSESW Postgraduate Curriculum Coordinator. She also teaches pre-service educators on the Undergraduate Education program, and coordinates a unit on education for the International Development Studies Masters.

Alex explores issues of equity and social justice in education and international development policy and discourse in her research. She investigates global social policies, and has conducted research into 'post-2015' education and the Sustainable Development Goals in the South Pacific, building on prior work on Education for All (EFA) in Southeast Asia and the South Pacific.
