Synopsis

The rapid popularization of digital cameras and mobile phone cameras has led to an explosive growth of videos, which contain rich information about objects, people, activities and events. There is increasing research interest in developing next-generation technologies for organizing and indexing videos. In order to facilitate browsing, retrieving and organizing videos, this project aims to develop intelligent video analytics algorithms and systems to recognize activities and events in videos.

The students are expected to have excellent mathematics background and programming skills. Scholarships or funding is available for excellent students.
