Peer-to-Peer computing techniques have gained increasing attention due to many unique advantages which includes resource sharing and low infrastructure investments in many applications, such as file sharing. Such techniques can also be employed to facilitate multimedia streaming by efficiently utilizing network bandwidth, thus increase system scalability and improve user experiences. This project is to enhance the delivery component of our web-based Digital TV Search System developed in our BMIT Research Group with peer-to-peer techniques by addressing a number of challenging issues (e.g. routing) in this emerging area.
