The objective of the project is to develop a new paradim for nonlinear analysis of structures including the treatment of uncertainty. The uncertain parameters are model as intervals.

Synopsis

An important issue faced in real life engineering practice is how to deal with variables and parameters of uncertain values. The possible sources of uncertainty in Finite Element Analysis include model uncertainty, discretization uncertainty and parameter uncertainty. This research concentrates on the study of parameter uncertainty in FEA using the interval approach.
