About Professor Robyn McConchie

Professor Robyn McConchie's research interests include areas related to quality and safety in fresh horticulture products with particular emphasis on reducing microbial risk of food borne illness from on-farm to the consumer. Her expertise are in food safety microbiology, plant defense and induced resistance during postharvest, and extractraction of value added compounds such as nutraceuticals, in horticultural waste.

Professor Robyn McConchie is a research academic at the School of Life and Environmental Sciences.  She is also the Pro-Dean Director of the Fresh Produce Safety Centre and a member of the China Studies Centre, Sydney Institute of Agriculture and the Charles Perkins Centre.
