About Dr Stuart Rosewarne

Research interests include: Global Integration; Theories of Political Economy; The Nature of Work; Ecological economics and socialist ecology; Environmental economics; Feminist political economics; International migration; International political economy.

His research on international labour migration has focused on a several different themes, including the globalisation of the construction industry’s workforce, which has been funded by an ARC Linkage Grant as well as supported financially by the Construction, Mining Forestry and Energy Union, the increased significance of temporary labour migration, and the feminisation of labour migration.  Formerly, NSW Division President of the National Tertiary Education Union (2005-2008) and President of the University of Sydney branch of the NTEU, Stuart has played a leading role in higher education policy at the national and State level as well as in University policy formulation and the negotiation of employment conditions.
