About Dr Maria Seton

Dr. Seton has a keen interest in marine geophysics and geodynamics and global plate motions. She is particularly interested in examining the relationship between global tectonics and palaeo-climate, palaeo-hypsometry and the formation of ore-deposits along convergent margins as well as understanding the dynamics of subduction and back-arc extension.

Dr. Seton’s research focuses on global plate motions and the dynamics of subduction zones and back-arc basins.

Dr Seton is a researcher in the School of Geosciences. For more information about Dr Seton, please refer to her Academic Profile Online.
