Deradicalising the manosphere: countering violence and extremism in online Redpill communities

We are conducting a research study about deradicalisation from The Redpill movement. Specifically, this project seeks to understand what motivates individuals to disengage from the Redpill movement, especially its manosphere groups; including but not limited to Incels, Pick-up Artist (PUAs), Mens Rights Activists (MRA), and Men Going Their Own Way (MGTOW). This study aims to explore why individuals leave the manosphere, and if this can better inform approaches to countering violent extremism (CVE).

Participants will be asked to complete two virtual interviews via Zoom with a trained interviewer. Participation is voluntary and anonymous, and participants can withdraw at any time.
