Thinking about getting a dog?

The effect of dog ownership on adult human health is the focus of a new pilot study by the University of Sydney, Physical and Affective Wellbeing Study of dog owners (PAWS).

Led by Associate Professor Emmanuel Stamatakis from the Charles Perkins Centre and Sydney School of Public Health, the research team is seeking 30 non-dog owners who are looking to acquire a dog soon!

You will be asked over the course of a year to periodically complete a few questionnaires and simple physical measurements.

You will receive compensation for your time in the form of vaccinations, medications and veterinary care for your new pooch!

Ethics committee approval number: 2016/921
