Healthy volunteers needed for a Prader-Willi syndrome study

Oxytocin and the autonomic nervous system in Prader Willi syndrome (PWS) and how abnormalities in these systems may be contributing to PWS symptoms
The purpose of the study is to learn more about oxytocin and the autonomic nervous system in Prader Willi syndrome (PWS) and how abnormalities in these systems may be contributing PWS symptoms

This study is looking for typically developing individuals to participate as controls.

Eligible participants will be invited to participate in the study at the Brain and Mind Centre in Camperdown, NSW. The visit will take approximately 2 hours. Individuals will be invited to take part in the following activities:

1. Two questionnaires, one about temperament one about sleep

2. Two cognitive tasks

3. Provide a blood sample

4. Provide a saliva sample

5. Participate in two activities while wearing a heart rate monitor.

Participants will receive a $50 gift voucher as a reimbursement for their time.

Eligibility

To be eligable for this study you:

  1. Males and females aged 13 to 30
  2. No known neurological, cardiac or psychiatric disorder
