Risk-reward decision-making

Help us investigate neurotypical risk-reward decision-making.
The study involves an online survey, which will take approximately 10 to 15 minutes to complete.

The study is being conducted by Dr Damian Mellifont and Associate Professor Jennifer Smith-Merry of the Centre for Disability Research and Policy, The University of Sydney.

If you accept the invitation to participate in the research project and are eligible to complete this survey, you will be asked questions about:

  • your demographic details
  • whether or not you would accept a first hypothetical risk-reward offer.
  • reason(s) for accepting or rejecting the first risk-reward offer.
  • whether or not you would accept a second hypothetical risk-reward offer.
  • reason(s) for accepting or rejecting the second risk-reward offer.

Ethics approval number: 2019/832.

Eligibility

You may be eligible to participate in this study if you:

  • are 18 years of age or older 
  • have never been medically diagnosed with a mental illness.
