The Effect of Exercise on Gut Bacteria

Exercise and Gut Bacteria
We are seeking healthy male participants, 18 years or older, that currently do not perform any resistance training.

The study will involve two visits to the Cumberland Campus, The University of Sydney for the assessment of gut bacteria, body composition (DEXA scan), resting metabolic rate, hormones, physical activity levels and dietary intake.

Each visit will last approximately 90 minutes.

You may be eligible to participate in this study if you:

  • Are male and aged 18-50 years
  • Have not performed any regular resistance training in the previous 6 months
  • Perform less than 150 minutes per week of exercise
