The Business and Development of Women’s Football Conference will be held from Monday, July 31 to Thursday, August 3 in the magnificent setting of Australia’s oldest tertiary institution, The University of Sydney. The conference will bring together academics and sporting professionals from around the world to unpack a program that is sure to stimulate discussion about the issues of diversity, access, inclusion, globalisation, commercialisation, the emergence of women’s football and its future. The conference will be rounded-out by a day of practical coaching activity and investigation.
Scheduled to take place during the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, the ambient football atmosphere will promote an exciting and anticipatory setting amidst the grandeur of The University of Sydney. Attendees will have an opportunity to meet, greet and network throughout the days and in planned social gatherings.
The variety and stature of local and international contributors, combined with the program content will ensure the exchange of ideas and present opportunities for new collaborations, across an impressive breadth of disciplines and topics.
This event is highly anticipated and will play an important role in celebrating the rise and place of women in football, all while we – and the World – will be watching the very best female footballers vie for the mantle of World Champions.
We look forward to you joining us. Places are limited and expected to fill quickly. Attending the conference from Tuesday to Thursday inclusive, will provide 30 points toward the maintenance and revalidation of AFC/FA Coach License Accreditation.
