New career direction

Despite working as a registered pharmacist, Henry Chan has always been curious about the world of business.

The Master of Management granted Henry with the opportunity to work on a project with Coca-Cola Amatil, where he was responsible for implementing the new SAP software into the company’s operations.

Henry initially wanted to work for an international pharmaceutical company, the Master of Management exposed Henry to new industries, particularly the Logistics and Supply Chain industry.

The development of analytical and problem-solving skills led Henry to secure a position in the Health Corporate team at National Australia Bank.

Ashleigh Gluckman

Personalisation Graduate, Qantas

After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts, Ashleigh Gluckman was uncertain about her career path. She believed taking the Master of Management would introduce her to the fundamentals of business.

While gaining practical experience with PwC working on the urban planning of Wentworth Racecourse, Ashleigh had the opportunity to network within areas of business she was interested in.

After discovering her passion in business, Ashleigh is now excelling in the Qantas Graduate program.

Sahil Dewan

Management Consultant, Accenture

A former mechanical engineer, Sahil Dewan sought to complete the Master of Management to fulfil his passion for solving large scale enterprise problems.

Offering Sahil practical knowledge on areas such as strategy and accounting, the Master of Management also provided him with opportunities to network with company representatives.

His project at Deloitte in their Venture Capital practice tasked him with conducting quantitative and qualitative analysis to narrow 500 scalable companies down to 10 for Deloitte in their Venture Capital practice.

Sahil is now working at Accenture in their Management Consulting Financial Services.

Not only did the Master of Management uplift my knowledge on all things business including strategy and accounting, it also gave me a plethora of opportunities to network with representatives from companies that I was looking to work at.

Gayatri Kotnala

Gayatri Kotnala MMgt '18
Property Manager (Retail), Lendlease

Gayatri Kotnala is an arts graduate who decided to undertake a Master of Management to upskill in business management.

Tasked with proposing solutions for customer pain points for Mirvac Retail at Broadway Shopping Centre, Gayatri applied new frameworks to solve the business problem, while also developing her soft skills.

After being challenged by the disruptive nature of retail innovation, Gayatri’s career path took an unpredictable yet rewarding turn. She now works at Lendlease in the Asset Management unit where she recently spent six months on the Sunshine Coast working on the delivery of the $440 million Sunshine Plaza Redevelopment project.

The program was instrumental in helping me discover, explore and sample career opportunities.
