This scholarship is valued at $5000.
a. Established in 2019, this Scholarship has been established to provide financial assistance to students who wish to undertake an internship that complements their studies at the University of Sydney.
a. Applicants must be currently enrolled full time in an undergraduate degree within the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at the University of Sydney. Applicants must not be enrolled in the final year of their undergraduate degree program.
b. Applicants must have gained entry in their current undergraduate degree through at least one of the following programs:
II. Gadigal, or
c. Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, New Zealand Citizen, or Australian Permanent Resident.
d. Applicants must have been accepted into an internship that is determined by the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences to complement their current undergraduate degree.
a. The Scholarship will be awarded on the basis of:
I. academic merit,
II. demonstrated evidence of disadvantage,
III. demonstrated evidence of acceptance into an internship and approval from the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, and
IV. a personal statement.
b. The Scholarship will be awarded by the Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, or their nominated delegate(s).
a. The Scholarship is valued at $5,000 and will be paid as a one-off payment.
b. Deferral of the Scholarship is not permitted without the prior permission of the Dean of the Faculty of Arts and the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences and it is not transferable to another University school, faculty or university with prior approval.
c. The Scholarship will be offered subject to the availability of funds.
d. No other amount is payable.

a. The Scholarship will be terminated if the recipient:
I. withdraws from an eligible course or fails to enrol,
II. withdraws from the approved internship,
III. commences part-time study without prior approval,
IV. does not maintain satisfactory academic performance,
V. is determined by the University to be guilty of serious misconduct, including, but not limited to, having provided false or misleading information as part of their Scholarship application,
VI. does not resume study at the end of a period of their internship or approved leave, or
VII. any other provision as indicated in these terms that would lead to termination.
b. Once the Scholarship has been terminated, it will not be reinstated unless due to University error.
c. Where a student is found guilty of serious misconduct or withdraws from the relevant course, the University reserves the right to request that any Scholarship funds paid to the Scholarship recipient be reimbursed.
