If you’re a domestic student who wants to commence studying in an undergraduate degree at the University of Sydney, you can apply for most scholarships through one application form.

We're dedicated to supporting you throughout your time at university. We offer a wide variety of scholarships for domestic undergraduate students. To make the process easier, we've created a single application form where you can be considered for most of our domestic undergraduate commencing scholarships.

How to apply

Applications open 1 July

Completing the form

The single scholarship form requires you to answer four questions, each limited to 150-word answers. You will also need to select up to three faculty and/or courses to be considered for.

  • Outline your academic achievements. Reflect on one of these, tell us why it was notable and made you proud.
  • Outline your extra-curricular activities or activities outside of the classroom. Reflect on one of those activities and tell us why it is important to you.
  • Why do you want to study your chosen study area/courses?
  • How will you make a positive impact after graduating from your chosen field of study?

For students who wish to be considered for equity scholarships, you will also have to answer the following.

  • Tell us how a scholarship would impact your ability to study at the University of Sydney.

Some scholarships may require additional information or an interview. If further information/interview is required, we will contact you at the phone/email address you provide in your scholarship application.

List of eligible scholarships

Scholarships included in the single scholarship application

You will be considered for the following scholarships when you complete the single scholarship application form.*

*All scholarships will be awarded subject to funding availability. Not all scholarships listed above will be awarded every year as funding may not be available.

In addition, more scholarships may be added to this list after applications open. If you have already submitted your application prior to a scholarship being added to the list, you will still be considered for this scholarship. You can check the list of scholarships on the website for any additions.

Scholarships not included in the single scholarship application

While this application covers many available scholarships, some scholarships require a separate application. If a scholarship has a different application method to the single scholarship application form, you must follow the instructions provided for that scholarship.

Some scholarships are automatically awarded and do not require an application.

Current student scholarships are not included in this form. This includes exchange, internship and honours scholarships, with the exception of current students transferring into a Law course.
