Farms
Enabling groundbreaking research towards a sustainable future
Our network of farms are essential in supporting the present core teaching and research activities of the School of Veterinary Science, School of Life and Environmental Sciences and the Sydney Institute of Agriculture.
They are vital to securing new initiatives arising from government and industry priorities in education, bioscience and food chain research occasioned by climate change, peak oil, urbanisation, food and water security.
South Western Sydney is located within the Sydney metropolis and forms part of a rapidly expanding growth corridor in the city's western suburbs.
Farms in this region are operated for learning and research, with some commercial components, offering valuable real-world experience for aspiring agriculturalists.
The Faculty of Science is committed to advancing agricultural innovation in regional New South Wales to address global challenges such as food security and sustainable food production.
