Thesis title: Testing the physical nature of intelligence in a neuromorphic nanotechnology device

Thesis abstract:

�p�Neuromorphic silver-nanowire atomic switch networks (AgNWs) have been shown to behave similar to neural pathways in the brain, demonstrating behaviours such as memory and learning. AgNWs thus present a unique and novel system for realising hardware-based AI. Our research aims to test the physical nature of emergent properties, such as intelligence, in a virtual prototype of an AgNW device. To achieve this goal, we will develop and implement intelligence tests such as pattern-recognition to test the AgNWs. Virtual testing will be followed by building and testing a prototype hardware device.�/p�
