Biographical details

Marta is a 2002 graduate of Murdoch University, Western Australia. Following graduation she completed a neonatal critical care internship and thereafter a equine surgical residency at the Marion duPont Equine Medical Centre in USA. Other places she has worked include Ballarat Equine Hospital (VIC) and Morphetville Equine Hospital (SA). She achieved American specialist board certification in Equine Surgery and has been working at the University of Sydney since 2008.

In 2017 she began her certification in both large and small animal acupuncture and currently is treating horses with acupuncture at the Camden Equine Hospital.

Her special interests include surgery of the upper airway, abdominal surgery, post-operative care of emergency patients, septic synovial structures, wound care and minimally invasive surgical techniques such as the CO2 and diode laser.
