Biographical details

Dr Sarah Brennan is a Research Fellow (part-time) in the School of Life and Environmental Sciences. She completed a PhD in 2011 at the School of Molecular Biosciences, University of Sydney, under the supervision of Professor Arthur Conigrave, and has previously worked as a Marie Curie Experienced Researcher as part of an EU Framework 7 program (Multifaceted CaSR) at Cardiff University, UK.

Her research has mainly involved characterizing the signaling mechanisms of the extracellular calcium-sensing receptor (CaSR), a G-protein coupled receptor, in both normal physiology and disease states.

In the media

Sarah was interviewed in 2015 as part of New Scientist feature article on the role of the CaSR in sensing a sixth flavour - kokumi.
