Professor Simon de Graaf FRSN FSRB is recognised globally as an expert in sheep reproduction, artificial breeding, reproductive technologies and semen assessment. His research programs have been awarded over $7.4 million in funding, produced 80 refereed journal articles and three book chapters. He has trained over 2500 veterinary medicine, animal science and agriculture students in animal reproduction and is a regular invited speaker at scientific conferences, agricultural industry events and field days throughout Australia and overseas. His work has featured globally in print, radio and TV media. He is currently Secretary General of the International Congress on Animal Reproduction. In recognition of his career achievements in animal reproductive science, he was elected Fellow of the Royal Society of NSW and Fellow of the Society of Reproductive Biology.

Semen and embryo preservation, artificial insemination and embryo transfer. Production of pre-sexed offspring by flow cytometric sex-sorting. The role of seminal plasma in sperm function and fertility. in vitro assessment of sperm function.

Reproductive biology, reproductive physiology and applied reproduction in units of study within the DVM, Animal Science and Agriculture degrees.
