Biographical details

Dr Syamak Farajikhah received his PhD in Materials Science and Engineering from the Intelligent Polymer Research Institute at the University of Wollongong in 2018. His PhD research was focused on the development of novel composite polymer fibres and 3D textile architectures for applications such as conductive knitted strain gauges, actuators, cost-effective microfluidic devices and wearable sensors. He joined the University of Sydney in 2018 as a postdoctoral research associate working on the development of biocompatible and biodegradable micro-structured fibres for biomedical applications.
