Yang Qi

I'm currently a first year PhD student under the supervision of Dr. Pulin Gong. Spiking neural networks are excitable media that support the formation of complex patterns including localized bumps, propagating waves, and breathers. My main research interest is to study the mechanism of these pattern formation in spiking neural networks and their functional roles. I am currently investigating the complex dynamics of localized bump activities and their function for parametric working memory under the presence of correlated noise.
