Multifaith Chaplaincy Centre

The Multifaith Chaplaincy Centre can provide the following support.

• Help you work through spiritual concerns
• Provide advice, counselling or advocacy
• Create opportunities for people of the same faith to connect

Our chaplains come from a range of faiths and can provide spiritual guidance and leadership to all students.

Chaplains are professionals who have been appointed by their faith community and officially recognised by the University to provide spiritual support and pastoral care to students on campus. They are not direct employees of the University.

Chaplains at the University

Anyone in the University community – students, staff and affiliates – can contact the chaplaincy service for free and confidential support.

Since many chaplains attend the University on a part-time basis, the best way to contact them is directly through their details.

Chaplains at the University are governed by the University Chaplaincy Guidelines (pdf, 109KB).

Islamic prayer facilities

The Multifaith Chaplaincy Centre manages a range of prayer facilities and activities through the Islamic chaplain and the Sydney University Muslim Students' Association (SUMSA).

There are many student-run faith and religion clubs by the University of Sydney Union (USU) available for students to join and connect with on campus.
