You can access your units in Canvas for the entire time you are a student at the University. Once a semester has finished, you will still be able to review content and files from past subjects, but won’t be able to submit assignments, take quizzes or add to discussions.
Unit of study coordinators are responsible for managing the content on their site. For unit-specific questions or feedback such as learning resources, assessments, classes and issues with study, contact your unit coordinator.
Once you have completed your enrolment you will have access to Canvas.
Log in using your UniKey and password. If you have any problems, contact us on 1800 793 864 (option 4 for ICT) or submit an online enquiry.
Your unit of study sites will appear in your Canvas dashboard one week before the semester starts.

We recommend you install two browsers on your computer, as this will give you an alternative if problems arise in one browser.
Your unit of study websites will be available one week before session starts.
Your unit of study website may not appear for a few reasons.
Your faculty, school or department may create specialised sites available to students enrolled in the faculty, school or a particular degree. They are part of your enrolment and may be designed to help you with specific skills such as laboratory workplace health and safety.
You may be enrolled in an online eCommunity when you take part in activities that are not related to just one unit of study. They typically provide a space for extracurricular activities, such as clubs and societies.
Once you log into Canvas, your eCommunity sites will appear in your Dashboard and under the left-hand Courses Menu.
To join an eCommunity, you may be able to self-enrol. If not, the administrator will need to add you to the site.
Use the Canvas Student app to access Canvas on your mobile device and receive communications directly on your device.
